Phil Collard is Money’s resident car loans and asset finance expert, with more than 15 years of first-hand experience helping Australian consumers and businesses find the right finance solution for their needs.
Background and experience
Phil has built up deep and wide-ranging expertise in consumer and business finance, having held senior roles at leading Australian lenders and car dealerships, and by running his own finance brokerage.
Phil initially studied and worked as an accountant which, unbeknown to him at the time, paved a way forward into the finance and loans industry. His training and experience as an accountant has enabled him to understand his clients' businesses intimately and therefore provide suitable solutions to their funding requirements.
Before joining Money, Phil worked at a leading SME lender where he supported small to medium-sized enterprises across Australia & New Zealand with their finance needs. He’s also worked as a senior business manager at several major car dealerships, including Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Subaru, Honda, and Holden, to name a few.
